In 2014, Morocco made a moderate advancement in efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor. The Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs established a mechanism to coordinate efforts to address child labor, conducted a study on the nature and extent of children labor on small farms, and supported significant efforts to combat child labor in the Marrakesh-Tensift-Al-Haouz region. However, children in Morocco are engaged in the worst forms of child labor, including in commercial sexual exploitation and forced domestic work, each sometimes as a result of human trafficking.
