Wireless Sensor Networks having no. of nodes with limited power are deployed to collect the useful, important information from the field. In WSNs it is difficult to collect the information in an energy efficient manner. The most important feature of a routing protocol, in order to be efficient for WSNs, is the energy consumption and the extension of the network’s lifetime. Ant Colony Optimization, a swarm intelligence based optimization technique, is widely used in network routing.
