HEART′S ROLE IN THE HUMAN BODY: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract. Heart in the human body is a muscular organ that pumps blood to the different organs. However, there are some studies that advocate for some additional functionality of the human heart. Our long term goal is to visualize this extra ordinary role of the human heart through computer technology. In this article we present our initial study about the different views from ancient philosophers to modern scientists that believed hearts role beyond the pumping machine. We believe that this initial study will also be interesting for research community of the social science field
