AUTOCEPHALOUS MOVEMENT IN BUKOVYNA IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIOPOLITICAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE LATE 1980s AND EARLY 1990s

Abstract. The paper presents a detailed analysis of the religious processes in Chernivtsi Oblast, which took place during the period under study. The revival of the Church and religious life of the region and the specifi cs of church-state, interfaith and inter-religious relations in the post-Soviet time and at an early stage of Ukraine’s sovereignty are characterized.
