Online social networking has become a very popular web application. Many popular online social networks such as twitter, Facebook, Linkedln, are extremely rich in content and typically contain a tremendous amount of data which can be utilized for pattern analysis. Most of the current efforts in analyzing social networks are done with respect to static structures. Static analysis is done in batch mode over particular snapshot, assuming that the social network changes slowly over time. However, analyzing the dynamic aspects of social networks could provide insight into structural and behavioral characteristics of network.
