Kadireepati Palakaveri, most probably, lived in Mysore. His contribution to Telugu literature was suka (parrot) –saptati (seventy), a collection of 72 Telugu sensual or pornographic stories. In the main story, a parrot narrates 71 tales to prevent the heroine from having illicit relations when her husband is away on a business trip for 70 days. Although some of the tales were taken from a Sanskrit text with the same name, the Telug sukasaptati is an original fiction by Palakaveri, depicting the social and cultural conditions of Telugu society around 1600 AD. The Sanskrit sukasaptati was compiled in the 6th century AD by an unknown author
