Paleontology is a biological and geological scientific discipline involving the study of fossil materials. Paleontological resources, or fossils, include the body remains, traces, or imprints of plants or animals that have been preserved in the Earth’s crust. Among paleontologists, fossils are generally considered to be scientifically significant if they are unique, unusual, or rare; diagnostically or stratigraphicall
