Abstract: Activating mutations of the FLT3 receptor tyrosine kinase are the most common recurring genetic abnormality in acute myelogenous leukemia (AM). Inhibition of FLT3 kinase activity by small molecule inhibitors has been proposed as a novel therapeutic approach AML.
