Most universities continue to expand their online course offerings because there is strong demand for such educational opportunities. However, the quality of instruction for online courses continues to be a concern. The Quality Matters (QM) Program provides a set of research-based standards that can guide the redesign of a course and can be used as a rubric to evaluate a course. This paper shows the transition of one course as it was redesigned based on the QM standards.
