Libraries, telecentres and cybercafés are key points of public access to information around the world. In this first study of its kind, named the Public Access Landscape Study, a global research team led by the University of Washington’s Center for Information & Society (CIS) researched public access venues (libraries, telecentres, cybercafés) in 25 countries around the world.
