3,4,5-Trimethoxyphenyl-fl-aminopropane (TMA) is structurally related to both amphetamine and mescaline, as is shown in Figure 1. Because of this structural relationship of TMA and amphetamine, methe drine, and mescaline, one could anticipate a clinical response to the compound which would represent certain phenomena characteristic of each of these drugs.
