In this paper we introduce the concept of Φ-weakly commuting maps and show that the result of S.L. Singh, A. Hematulin and R. Pant [7] holds even if conditions (A1) and (A3) of Theorem 2.3 are dropped under certain restrictions (Theorem 2.5). We provide example and generaliza-tion to the same with some modifications
