Abstract- Business process models are often crucial for business software development. Using reference models or merged processes, software producers intend to optimize the development effort for enterprises of the same domain. Thus, it is important to know how to assess the similarity between the process and the reference or merged process model to assess the effort needed for their adaption. This paper uses network-based business process analysis approach to quantitatively assess process similarity based on information structure of the business process model.
