is an automated custom modernization tool for a large C++ avionics system. The tool transforms components developed in a 1990's-era component style to one based on a proprietary variant of the Common Object Re-source Broker Architecture (CORBA), preserving func-tionality but introducing regular interfaces for inter-component communication. The new framework al-lows more regular interoperability, standardization across flight platforms, and opportunities for integrating emerging technologies that require CORBA-like inter-faces.
