Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is an X-linked recessive disease with an incidence of 1 in 3,500 male live births, making it the most common form of muscular dystrophy worldwide. [1,2] Dystrophin, a protein which has a role in sarcolemmal stability in skeletal muscles
