Abstract: The toxic heavy metal ions are non-degradable and are persistent in the environment. Therefore, the elimination of heavy metal ions from wastewater is important to protect public health. Vegetables grown in such lands, therefore, are likely to be contaminated with heavy metals and unsafe for consumption.
