The present paper aims to describe the job stress prevailing among staff nurses employed at hospitals in Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu. This descriptive research study was carried out in 2 hospitals with the objectives of studying the key variables namely Organizational, Job, Group and Individual Stressors that are felt and experienced by the staff nurses employed in these hospitals. The researcher selected 50 Staff Nurse by applying the two phase random sampling technique. The data collected was systematically processed and analyzed. The salient ndings of the study revealed that majority (86%) of the respondents were female and were married.
