Introduction: Birth asphyxia is the cause of death of 0.92 million newborn annually. During neonatal period 4 million babies die yearly. Over three quarters of these deaths are due to three major causes like serious infection (28%), complication of preterm birth (26%) and birth asphyxia (23%). Objective: To study the outcome of newborn with birth asphyxia and also the factors responsible for outcome of asphyxiated newborns
