The purpose of this paper is to investigate public participation in e-government electronically and significance of web 2.0 in e-government adoption. Web 2.0 is a platform on which innovative technologies and applications where participants can be content creators to influence collective intelligence of user groups, thus turning the web into a kind of global intelligence. Social networking services and web 2.0 tools afford citizens the opportunity to publish and transmit opinions and ideas on policy in a much more transparent and accelerated manner.
