A CASE OF SECONDARY SYPHILIS WITH CONDY- LOMATA LATA LOCATION ON THE ORAL COMISSURE

Condylomata lata are frequently observed in pa-tients with secondary recurrent syphilis- up to 35 % of cases (2).Their location on the oral comissure is a rela-tively rare finding, that comprises a matter of interest both for dermatologist and non-dermatologist specialists (6).The extra genital locations of condylomata lata can easily be omitted or misdiagnosed, especially in cases when other skin manifestation are absent. Key words: syphilis, condylomata lata A CASE HISTORY: A 15 years old patient CMH 1792/99 with a di-agnosis of secondary recurrent syphilis is presented. The disease dates a year back. Four months before admit-tance several small papules appeared on labia minora. A painless, pea-sized elevation developed 2 months lat-er on the other site of the left month angle. CLINICAL FEATURES: The skin lesions are located in the genital region and on the left oral comissure. Flat topped and round lenticulare and nummular papules with eroded and weaking surface are distributed over the inner surface of labia minora. A pink-red, firm, round, painless papule – 0, 5 cm in diameter on indurated, broad base is ob-served on the left oral comissure. (photo1).
