Recent advances in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) enable us to develop minimum energy consumption clustering algorithms. The WSNs can be used for various applications like battle field, disaster areas and military applications. The most important issue in WSNs is the limited battery of sensor nodes. When sensor nodes are placed in a field, it is difficult to replace their batteries. To minimize the energy consumption of nodes, WSNs introduce various protocols and algorithms. Among the techniques, the genetic based energy efficient clustering algorithms are used to minimize the energy consumption of nodes and to extend the network lifetime.
