www.ijipsr.com A simple, rapid and specific UV spectroscopic method with good sensitivity was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form by standard addition method. In Methanol the λmax of Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate was fixed as 229 and 245 nm respectively using a Shimadzu UV-Visible spectrophotometer. In this proposed method both drugs obeyed linearity within the concentration range of 4-20 µg/ml and 4-20 µg/ml for Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate respectively. The low RSD values indicate good precision and high recovery values indicate accuracy of the proposed method.
