A FEASIBITY STUDY FOR MAJOR PARKING FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS

The objective of this paper is to analyze the financial feasibility in major parking improvement program. This includes capital investment for physical development and a proposed increase parking tariff at major parking, parking in shopping centers located in a Patumwan district of Bangkok downtown area. The research methodology consist of two parts. The first part is about forecasting demand and revenue streams from general users as a result of new policies on parking tariffs by using price elasticity method. The second part is estimating costs of the project by defining policies for capital investment such as minimum investment, maximum investment and other costs. The result from forecasted revenues and costs forecasts in each scenario are used to create the financial models for financial feasibility analysis and analyzing the period of investment for the most feasible scenario
