ABSTRACT: A simple, sensitive, precise and robust reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method for analysis of divalproex sodium in pharmaceutical formulation such as tablets was developed and validated as per ICH guidelines. The chromatographic system employs isocratic elution using on Agilent SB C18, (150 x 4.6 mm, 5m) with Buffer and Acetonitrile were mixed in the ratio 60:40 v/v, added drop wise, as mobile phase set at flow rate 1.0 ml / min. The standard curve was found to have a linear relationship (r2> 0.99) over the analytical range of 10–150µg/ml.
