www.hrmars.com Moral Intelligence and Sustainable Consumption: A Field Research on Young Consumers

Moral intelligence has been evaluated as a new form of intelligence and taken attention the scientists recently, which is thought as an extension of multiple intelligence approach. At this point, the role of the moral intelligence on consumer behavior has not been researched. This study is conducted to scrutinize possible relationships between moral intelligence and sustainable consumption behavior. Initial data are collected from students of Keskin Vocational High School of Kirikkale University by survey method. Descriptive analyses are conducted. Results indicate that moral intelligence is closely related with sustainable consumption behavior styles. By this way one possible psychological determinant of sustainable consumption is pointed out.
