Abstract—This paper deals with a specially designed middleware (P2P Messaging System) that release the advantages of peer-to-peer networks to a broad spectrum of applications. The goal of this paper is to design a middleware for p2p networks that focuses on high-performance group communication based on a publish/subscribe model and its performance is compared with the JXTA technology. The P2P Messaging System considers the heterogeneous and dynamic character of peer-to-peer networks by an augmented topology and its supporting features.
