Energy and Environmental Engineering Journal A Critical Review of Convectional Energy and Green Technology Development Strategy

Scientists around the globe are challenged by increasing environmental problems such as limited resources of conventional energy and waste management. Those problems force the scientific community to look for new ways to obtain materials and energy from renewable sources. Green technology has provided ways in order to stay ahead of these challenges. This research work discusses some of the aspects of the changes that material engineering will face in the 21st century as it will widen its raw material base to include more renewable resources and simultaneously reduce its environmental impact. Research indicates that ‘Green technology ’ has narrow to broad definitions that could include methods, materials, and techniques for generating energy to producing non-toxic cleaning products. This research explores new process for generating energy with zero tolerance for environmental degradation. A product system life cycle can be broken down into four generalized phases including raw material acquisition, production, use, final disposal or recycling, and the transportation needed between these phases, this study is to xtray all this in detail and provide its shortcoming and the possible ways of minimizing its lapses.
