Abstract — The government of every nation has a lot of data and information related to its own country. This information is mutually owned by different states, departments, and agencies within the country. These owners have their own corresponding websites and they decide which data they want to expose to the common public. However, as the data corresponding to the websites exists in silos, it cannot be connected across websites. This article looks at the challenges of the current website implementations of the Indian government and highlights the benefits that can be obtained by implementing Semantic Web Technologies
