Abstract — Permanent magnet brushless DC motors (PMBLDC) are appealing candidates for many high performance applications because of their attractive characteristics in such key categories such as power density, torque to inertia ratio, power efficiency, robustness and reliability. One main problem in the PMBLDC motor is the torque ripple which affects the overall performance of the PMBLDC motor. In the proposed work a fuzzy logic controller has been introduced to minimize the torque ripple in the PMBLDC motor to improve the performance.
