Abstract: Problem statement: In sensor networks, some routing protocols performance differs under different mobility models. In ns2, there are two kinds of directed diffusion protocols, rate based gradient mechanism (diffusion/rate) and probability based gradient mechanism (diffusion/prob). In this research, we proposed a method to improve the performance of Directed diffusion/prob protocol by adding a new interest message propagation mechanism and analyzed the protocol under different mobility models.
