Motorcycles have caused a considerable number of road accidents in most Asian countries ’ road networks. This indicates that motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users throughout these networks. For the sake of better motorcycle safety in Asia, this paper provides an overview of the on-road motorcycle usage pattern, the reality of safety situation, and the challenges to identify the needed actions to improve safety in these countries
