Abstract: The optimal allocation of rural energy resources to various energy end users is an important aspect for bridging the energy supply and demand gap in India. It has been observed that allocation should be channelized by multiple criteria. In this paper a multi objective programming model for such an allocation process is presented. A standard model has been applied for rural sector of Malnad region of Shimoga District, Karnataka state. The data used for the analysis is obtained from detailed survey of various energy resources and demands of Hosur Village.
