IMPORTANCE Problem adaptation therapy (PATH) is a treatment for older adults with major depression, cognitive impairment (frommild cognitive deficits to moderate dementia), and disability. Antidepressants have limited efficacy in this population and psychosocial interventions are inadequately investigated.
