The purposes of this study were to examine the ways in which students develop or demonstrate their understanding of mathematical processes by utilizing technology and to evaluate the nature of their on-line collaboration. We designed and implemented a blended mathematics course for undergraduate students who are preparing to become elementary school teachers. In order to evaluate student understanding of mathematical processes and student interactivity, we examined transcripts of on-line discussions, as well as computer-based projects.
