Abstract: According to a study published in the journal Pediatrics, play and down time may be as important to a child’s academic experience as reading, science and maths (Pediatrics Vol. 123, 2009). It has been shown how movement education and physical education improve mental sharpness. Play or any sort of movement increases the level of neurotransmitters that help the brain to be in a better state of equilibrium and as such help in learning.
