Effects of medication on neuroimaging findings in bipolar disorder: an updated review Studies utilizing neuroimaging methods [e.g., struc-tural magnetic resonance imaging (sMRI), func-tional MRI (fMRI), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI)] facilitate the investigation of bipolar disorder (BD) at the level of neural circuitry and allow for integration between objective biomarkers and clinical factors. A better understanding of neural circuitry can inform and improve the Hafeman DM, Chang KD, Garrett AS, Sanders EM, Phillips ML.
