Abstract: This study examines the association between reward practices and firm performance based on the type of strategy being used by the firm. Based on a model developed for this study, the paper uses empirical research to determine the relationship between organisational strategy, reward practices and performance. The study identifies different kinds of reward practices that are closely associated with each of the four generic strategies, which are significantly related to higher levels of perceived performance of firms in Saudi Arabia.
