The paper gives an overview of the present state of development of e-Learning in Electrical Engineering. State of the art is reviewed and steps in the development of e-learning are shown. Also the paper summarizes the results achieved at the development of multimedia based e-learning tools in the field of electrical drives and power electronics. Finally, there are sketched challenges for future development of the e-learning
