Sometimes referred to as cafeteria plans, Section 125 plans can take several forms. When they are used only to shelter employee health premium dollars, they are called premium-only plans. Section 125 premium-only plans are simple to imple-ment, have minimal filing obligations, lower the cost of health insurance for employees, and may even save employers money.
