Event-related EEG potentials (ERP) were recorded from 75 tested adult men and women; recording was performed from C3 and C4 points. The experimental situation required internal counting of time intervals limited by two pushes of a button. The experimental paradigm provided a substantial level of uncertainty, and a high level of attention needed to be maintained. The tested subjects were not informed by the experimenter about the precise value of the preset time interval; they knew only its limits, 17-23 sec.
