The objectives of this theoretical essay are to discuss the process of career transition of former elite athletes to a new reality outside their professional role as sportsmen. After the theoretical review, we notice that the post-athletic career is, in most cases, linked to the previous practice of sport, even if you completely break the bond with the sport, and the sport of high-performance’s direct or indirect influence in this new professional step
