Context: Chronic diseases in India accounted for 53 % of all deaths. Out of which 24 % were due to cardiovascular diseases alone. Lifestyle related behavioural risk factors are mainly implicated for increase in cardiovascular diseases among medical professionals, and a related research among medical students is essential. Aims: To assess the cardiovascular risk behaviour among first year medical students and house surgeons of K.V.G Medical College, Sullia and to compare the same among both groups
