The implementation of PMS by stages involves some changes and uncertainties, but has also some advantages. This paper describes the improvements introduced into the system during its implementation. In the first stage, evolution curves were designed using a cross-sectional method. This means that with only one visual survey, the fatigue evolution curves were established. Further surveys allowed calibration and correction of the first model by a longitudinal study, taking into consideration the evolution since the previous survey.
