The electrochemical detection of o-nitrophenol (o-NP) on a poly(propyleneimine) dendrimer-gold nanocomposite modified exfoliated graphite electrode (EG) is presented. The nanocomposite was prepared by a single step electro-co-deposition method using cyclic voltammetry onto a lab fabricated EG electrode. The PPI-AuNP modified EG electrode exhibited an enhanced electro-activity for o-NP reduction over both EG electrode and nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode. Square wave voltammetric cathodic peak current of o-NP was proportional to the o-NP concentration between 3.1
