The field of interest includes studies of the distribution and behaviour of disease in human populations; the definition of the agents responsable for the patterns observed; the modifying effect of social or environmental conditions on disease evolution; and the assessment of the health and efficiency of people exposed to various external circumstances. Linked with these subjects is the design of measures intended to control or prevent disease and the field assessment of their value in public health practice. Epidemiology and Community health also encompasses the objective study of the Organisation and functioning of medical Services with particular emphasis on the measurement of their efficiency. Papers are accepted on their scientific originality and general interest, and ethical considerations will be taken into account
