Abstract – Software components play an important role in achieving reusability. Reusability is in fact an advancement of component based software engineering. A component acts as a basic entity while adopting a reuse approach. Reusability puts a positive impact on reduction of software cost and improvement of software quality. In order to yield the benefits of component reusability it is required to have complete understanding of the activities that are performed while developing software.
