Abstract — MANETs are becoming more essential to wireless communication because of increasing popularity of mobile devices. However, MANETs does not seem to effectively support live video transmission and multimedia applications. The main objective of this work is to improve the performance of real-time video transmission using cross layer technique. The main obstacle in real-time video transmission is delay-jitter. The proposed strategy minimizes delay-jitter problem using the cross layer approach from the integration of MAC, network and transport layer.
