Phenolic contents are very important class of organic compounds with the ability to work as antioxidants. Based on this property, the medicinal plants containing high concentration of phenols can be used to treat various ailments associated to free radicals. During current investigation the phenolic contents of methanolic, ethyl acetate, chloroform and n-hexane extracts of Artemisia gmelinii, A. brevifolia, Menta royleana, M. longifolia, Datura stromonium and D. alba of Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) origin were comparatively evaluated for phenolic contents (mg Gallic acid equivalents/Kg extract). The results showed that the non-polar fractions of D. stromonium and D. alba contains highest concentration of phenolic as compared to A. gmelinii, A. br...
