Microform means photographic reproduction of material in a size too small to be read without a means of magnification. The format provides a way for the library to collect and maintain materials too fragile, bulky, or unavailable to collect in the original printed format (for example newspapers, magazines, or rare books). Our collection contains two microform formats, microfiche and microfilm. Microfiche are 4x6 or 3x5 film “sheets ” (or cards) holding between 40 and 98 pages per microfiche sheet.
