EEGLAB (sccn.ucsc.edu/eeglab) is an easily extensible, highly evolved, and now widely used open source environment for signal processing of electroencephalo-graphic data running on MATLAB (The Mathworks, Inc.). Here we introduce MEEG, an EEGLAB plug-in that appears in the EEGLAB menu of users who download it. MEEG gathers functions from EEGLAB and other MATLAB-based open source frameworks to read/write and process MEG or simultaneous MEG/EEG (MEEG) data. Here we show a first decomposition by independent component analysis (ICA) of an MEEG data set and use MEEG plotting tools to localize and evaluate maximally independent joint MEG/EEG component pro-cesses in the data
